About Bart Scovill

Bart Scovill is an estate planning attorney based in the nexus of Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, and Bradenton. He has been admitted to practice law in the State of Florida since 1993.

Before law school, Bart served four years in the United States Army as a Cavalry Scout (Armored Reconnaissance Specialist) with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment and the 3/12 Cavalry Squadron, receiving an honorable discharge in 1985.

He went on to attend the University of Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and later a Juris Doctor from the College of Law.

Over the past three decades, Bart has guided clients through a wide range of legal issues including business law, transactional law, construction law, and guardianships. Today, his practice is dedicated to helping individuals and families with estate planning, probate, and trust administration.

Outside the office, Bart is married with two daughters. He enjoys snow skiing with his family, teaching and training in karate, and both playing and coaching volleyball.
